Very pretty gilded bronze sculpture finely chiseled, representing an elegant woman wearing a nice dress and a heavy coat, entitled "Paris", signed Moreau-Vauthier *, on a base of pink marble, period late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries .

This statue is in good condition. It is signed at the bottom.

A note: the bronze will be clean, micro-chips on the edge of the marble, see photos.

* Paul Moreau-Vauthier (1871-1936):

sculptor (Ec fr), pupil of his father and Thomas. It figured in the Salon of French Artists. Member of the company since 1895, honorable mention in 1898, the third class medal in 1899, silver in 1900 (Expo), 2nd class in 1907 Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1910 and officer under of war, gold medal in 1928. He executed several memorials, including the Wall Monument in Pere Lachaise cemetery. (Excerpt Bénézit)
