Great pendulum regulates * gold and marble of King Louis VII of France ** in a crusade with his curonne and an ornate dress with lilies, having landed at his feet his weapons of war, leaning on a sculpture representing a Templar, XIXth century.

This clock is in good condition. The movement works but will be revised. We pendulum and key.

A note: the sword moves a little, small chips on the dial, tiny micro-chips on the edge of the marble, wear time, see photos.

* The controls is a tin alloy or of lead and antimony. This alloy was used instead of the bronze for producing decorative objects.

** Louis VII of France, known as "Louis the Younger" (1120-1180) King of the Franks from 1137 to 1180. He is the son of Louis VI, called "Louis the Fat" King of France and Adelaide of Savoy (c. 1092-1154). Sixth ruler of the dynasty direct Capetians. It successively wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, Constance of Castile, and Adele of Champagne. His son Philip Augustus succeeded him. On 11 June 1147, King Louis VII and Eleanor go for the second crusade, at the head of 300 knights and a large army, followed gradually by tens of thousands of pilgrims.
