Beautiful crystal wine decanter cut the Maison Baccarat *, famous model Harcourt, vintage twentieth century.

This decanter is in good condition. It is not signed but is from the Maison Baccarat.

A note: shine on the tip of the cap, tiny micro-chips on the crystal (not visible), micro-scratches and wear time, see pictures.

* The Baccarat crystal

is a crystal factory located in Baccarat municipality in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine in France. In 1764 King Louis XV gave permission to found a glassworks in the town of Baccarat in the Lorraine to the bishop of Metz Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval (1761-1802). The extensive grounds of the Baccarat Crystal Company merged with almost the small town of Baccarat. Production was to manufacture tiles to glass, mirrors and glass services. After the French Revolution, the company dwindled until its bankruptcy in 1806, when it was sold at auction to a merchant of Verdun. In 1816, the glassware was bought by an industrialist Aimé-Gabriel d'Artigues (1773-1848). This was the beginning of the rise of the prestigious Crystal Baccarat. The real business start date of its acquisition in 1822 by a wealthy Parisian, Pierre-Antoine Godard-Desmarest. Baccarat received its first royal commission in 1823 by King Louis XVIII. This was the beginning of a long series of commands for royalty and heads of state of the planet. It was also a period of strong growth internationale.En 1855 Baccarat won his first gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of Paris.Baccarat filed in 1860 its trademark on his plays. The mark was a label on the pièces.La crystal production took its magnitude during this period, and Baccarat has built a worldwide reputation for manufacturing high-quality glasses, candlesticks, vases and perfume bottles.
