Beautiful gold patinated bronze sculpture representing a magnificent horse, a thoroughbred stallion or racehorse, signed A.Dubucand * on the terrace, XIXth century.

This sculpture is in good condition. It is signed and also bears an inscription in ink below.

A report: minimal wear and tear.

* DUBUCAND Alfred (1828-1894):

began to exhibit regularly in 1867 at the Salon of French artists, until 1883. DUBUCAND was a pupil of Barye and Rouillard well as Lequien. He won a medal in 1879 for his "Persian cheetah hunter." It is essentially animal sculptor, inspired largely Orientalist. (See Bénézit)
