Superb and rare pitcher slip of St. Clement * of a dog (greyhound) sitting at rest, family GYPP, vintage twentieth century.

This pitcher is in good condition. It is signed and numbered 507/2 hollow ass. This model is referenced in the book "Pitchers slip" of M.Bottero.

* The pottery of San Clemente

located 12 km from Luneville, was created in 1758 by Jacques Chambrette, owner of a pottery at Luneville. With this second plant, he addressed the high-end segment of prestigious pieces. Because of this, the plant was named official supplier of Trianon of Marie Antoinette. During the 18th century St. Clement addresses the production of household goods pottery usual luxury items and decorative objects in fine earthenware. Between the first quarter of the 19th century and 1892, St. Clement produces ordinary crockery and ornaments of faience in large and small fire (Emile Gallé). After 1920 production includes crockery and earthenware household goods (often with old decorations) and decorative objects (animals) cracked earthenware (1925, 1930). Production of slurry is continued until 1930.
