Beautiful watercolor signed A.Chaplin * representing a beautiful bouquet of colorful flowers (carnations, roses, peonies ...) placed on a stone entablature, period late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This watercolor is in good condition. It is signed lower left.

painter (Ec en). He received an honorable mention in 1903 and a third-class medal in 1904. Son of Charles Chaplin. elève Bonnat and Bernier. He first painted decorative paintings and after a trip to Holland in 1898, he devoted himself to painting flowers. He is also a few portraits. Since 1899 he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists.
