* Wood in the arts and traditions of Morocco : everywhere , wood not only brings its solidity and beauty, but also its smell. The introduction of the wood arts in the construction of mosques and monuments dates back to Idrissid times. Very soon, however, it also enters the dwellings at the same time that the uses are fixed. In the South granaries, the doors are decorated with rich and varied patterns to individualize each room where the goods of each family of the village are stored. Elsewhere, there are wooden arts in architecture: lintels of houses, exterior or interior doors to the patio, windows with carved and painted shutters decorated with beautiful wrought iron gates. These windows were made until the middle of the 20th century to decorate Moroccan houses.
