Small miniature medal of the Order De Saint Louis in solid gold (ram's head *) and enamel, in the shape of a cross with four branches, separated by fleurs-de-lis. On one side, King Saint-Louis battleship of gold, surrounded by the legend " Ludovicus Magnus instituit 1693". On the other hand, the motto of the Order: Bellicae virtutis praemium. Period first half nineteenth century.
This medal is in good condition. Hallmarked with a ram's head (Solid Gold Punch of Petite Title Garantie 750 thousandths (18 karat) 1819 to 1838). It is attached to a small bar also in 18K solid gold (no punch but has been tested).
