Book entitled "Letters to Emilie on Mythology" (Part One), by CADemoustier * in Paris bookseller in Dabo, vintage 1818 early nineteenth century.
This book is in good condition, it is in its own juice. It is illustrated with engravings (all pictures taken, see below).
A note: the paper is yellowed and stained in places, wear and scratches from use on the cover, see photo.
Born in Villers-Cotterets March 13, 1760 and died in Paris March 2, 1801 of pulmonary tuberculosis, was a French writer. Charles Albert exercised some time with distinction as a lawyer, while engaged in the literature. He finally chose the letters to the bar and started in 1786 by Letters to Emilie on Mythology (Part 1) whose sixth and last part appeared in 1798, which were a great success. In 1799 he was elected a member of the National Institute of Sciences and Arts to Rouget de Lille.
