Blackened wooden box, Boulle marquetry, brass, gold and pearl, of the nineteenth century Napoleon III.
This box is in good condition. It is no longer lock.
A note: some missing wood (including rear corners) and inlay, few tiny drops of wax fell on the cover, minor repairs (the corners), wear and scratches on the wood, see photos.
