Glove box in blackened wood and golden brass nets, with the initials DZ adorning the lid, rosewood interior, signed Vervelle Aîné *, Napoleon III nineteenth century.
This box is in good condition. We do not have the key, the lock is signed.

Grand cabinet maker of the Second Empire. Vervelle Aîné exercised 157 Street Faubourg in Paris from 1825 to 1856. The Vervelle House was founded by his father, Jean-François, in 1804. His specialty was the small furniture and boxes and various boxes, tapestries (his first job was upholsterer). In 1840 he counted nearly a hundred workers. He made fancy furniture, wedding baskets, liquor cabinets, kits and travel kits. The VERVELLE house was then firmly established, it knew how to manufacture high quality objects at reasonable prices.
