Round pill box in enameled solid silver, Minerva hallmark (1st grade) and silversmith G Keller Paris *, vintage late 19th-early 20th century.

This box is in good condition. The interior is ruddy.

* Maison Keller:

Founded in 1857 by Gustave Keller, the house of Keller specializes in necessities and luxury leather goods; very quickly noticed and appreciated he knew the consecration to the universal exhibitions, in 1867 he received a silver medal and in 1878 a gold medal. In 1878, his two sons took over the firm under the name "Keller fils et gendre successeurs" and added tableware, various objects to their activities. The production was rewarded at the universal exhibitions of 1889 and 1900, respectively with a gold medal and a Grand Prix. Their notoriety is great, official orders are pouring in and customers are numerous and prestigious, including the courts of Spain, Romania, Greece, Russia, the Principality of Monaco and Tsar Nicholas II ' It was also regularly supplied there at the end of the 19th century. Many works are present in various prestigious museums including Les Arts Décoratifs, Orsay and L'Ermitage… Established in Paris at 65, rue de Turbigo in Paris, Maison Keller moved its store and workshop to 22 rue Joubert in 1891. In 1929 , the store was registered at 18 avenue Matignon. The company will cease its activities around 1947. (Cf Proantic Magazine)
