* The saddler works with stuffing and leather in order to make harness parts for working horses. This term, now little used, differentiated the saddler, working in the countryside (work harness, packsaddle) from the saddler, working in the city (horse-drawn carriages, saddles, etc.). In some regions, especially when he worked in the city, the saddler was also called a harness maker.
