Whist is a card game removed, without a contract, of English origin. Whist the original had its heyday in the eighteenth century and nineteenth century. Many variations have emerged since the late eighteenth century consisted in introducing a system of rules in contract bids for one - or two together - player commits to earn a shot with the possibility - or not, depending variant - choose the trump suit.
