Decor round box on the cover of a view of the Tower of Nesle in Paris * many animated characters, below another miniature of a bouquet of colorful flowers, golden brass frame, antique eighteenth century.

This box is in good condition, it is of high quality.

A note: some accidents and strains on brass, light painting gaps around the perimeter of laminiature cover, wear and light scratches time, see pictures.

* The Tower of Nesle

now lost, was one of the corner towers of the ancient walls of Paris, said enclosure of Philip Augustus, built by Philip II in the early thirteenth century. It was located at the present site of the West Pavilion of the Mazarine Library. 25 meters high and 10 wide, the Tour de Nesle had two floors and two-story vaulted capped with the top, a crenellated platform which was reached by a spiral staircase placed in a journal that was attached to it, it -even completed by a second platform. The demolition of the tower, considered since 1659, was not effective until 1663 or 1665 for the construction of the Mazarine Library and the College of the Four Nations.
