Small round box in burr elm, decorated on the lid of a gold medallion of the Emperor Napoleon on the island of St. Helena during his exile *, of XIXth century.
This box is in good condition. The miniature is under glass.
A note: small accident on the inner edge (see arrow), wear and scratches see pictures of use.
* Following his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon was exiled and deported by the British on St Helena, where he landed in October 1815. He died May 5, 1821.
