Brown-green patina bronze sculpture representing a young child fisherman, signed Lavergne *, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This sculpture is in good condition. Signed on the terrace.

A note: the baton of the child is not fixed to the ground and can be removed, slight soiling and wear of time, see photos.

* Adolphe Jean Lavergne (1868-1928):

student of Jouffroy, he exhibited mainly genre scenes and busts at the Salon from 1863. We know of this artist some statuettes published in bronze such as Young Fisherman, Fencer, Charmer lizard , etc. A bust of Leon Dierx belongs to the Museum that bears his name in Saint-Denis de la Reunion.
