Bronze sculpture (bronze patina), entitled "Au Clair de la Lune", representing a Pierrot playing the mandolin and singing this popular nursery rhyme, his feather stuck in his hat, signed Bouret*, from the 19th century.
This sculpture is in good general condition. It is signed on the base.

Sculptor (Ec fr). Student of Buhot. He exhibited at the Salon from 1875 to 1903. Bouret worked in many materials, marble, plaster, terracotta and bronze. We quote from him a " Psyche at the tribunal of Venus " and the bust of Alexis Bouvier on the tomb of the novelist in the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris. (Bénézit)
