Gorgeous silver bronze sculpture orientalist, gold and black patina finely chiseled, representing a black woman carrying two wicker baskets, one on the shoulders, the other hand, signed L.Kley * the basket forming a vase in his back (with a blue glass) marble base, the nineteenth century era.

This sculpture is in good condition. It will be clean. It is signed on the foot.

A note: wear time, micro-scratches on the glass, small cracks in marble, see photos.

* Louis Kley (1833-1911):

sculptor (Ec en). Student of Lequien father. He debuted at the Salon in 1853. Obtained the second medal Barbedienne competition; silver medal at the 1889 World Exposition and other rewards to Paris and Auxerre. The Museum of Auxerre keeps him several works. (Excerpt Bénézit)
