Superb green patina bronze sculpture depicting a kneeling young girl playing the flute or pipe in front of a goat and her kid, signed H.Fugère *, marble base, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This sculpture is in good condition. It is signed on the terrace.

A note: small accident and lack of marble in a corner (see red arrow), micro-chips on the edge of marble, light wear and soiling of time, see pictures.

* Henry Fugère (1872-1944):

son of the sculptor Léon Fugère, student Cavelier, he exhibited from 1893 medallions, busts and especially statuettes, mostly in bronze and plaster statuettes. It continues its activity after the 1914-18 war and the works of this period often denote a clear Art Deco influence. (From "The bronzes of the nineteenth century" by P.Kjellberg)
