A note: tiny time wear, see photos.

* Villanis Emmanuel (1858-1914):

born to Italian parents, he worked in France and exhibited at the Salon from 1886. Very marked by the spirit of Art Nouveau, he produced countless topics, mostly female figures. Most are from bronze and also variously colored metal, often in several dimensions or even in several versions. However, he exhibited at the Salon before 1914 only one bronze Bronze "Judith" (1898), and plasters. Many bronze signed by Villanis tests included in the trade and public sales. Number of statuettes evoke music. The hallmark of the Paris bronzes Society appears there frequently. (From The bronzes of the nineteenth century by P.Kjellberg).

Artist great side to ArtPrice.
