Superb pair of candlesticks Louis XV gilt bronze finely chiseled, bush-shaped tulip on a shoulder was octagonal, round up a foot tiered moldings, punched the C * Crowned, antique eighteenth century.
These candlesticks are in good condition. They are each stamped twice crowned C (on the foot and on the sleeve). They have their sconces.
A note: track repair underfoot, small bumps and slight wear of time, see photos.
Designed by Louis XV to be a tax stamp of the crowned C also became collectors for a quality mark and date: used between 1745 and 1749 he appears to have been insculpté as the finest bronzes.
