Superb pair of candlesticks Louis XV gilt bronze candelabra forming two lamps or sconces, punch to C * Crowned on the upper arms, even on a faceted baluster foot molded contours, antique eighteenth century.
These candlesticks are in good condition. They do not have sconces. The sconces are punched in C Crowned.
A note: some small bumps, wear and dirt, they will clean, see photos (red arrows).
Designed by Louis XV to be a tax stamp of the crowned C has also become for collectors a quality mark and date: used between 1745 and 1749 he appears to have been insculpté as the finest bronzes.
