Small pair of gilt bronze candlesticks finely carved, decorated with fuillage, punched Crowned at C *, then the middle of the eighteenth century.
These candlesticks are in good condition. They have their sockets. They are stamped on the foot to see pictures.

Designed by Louis XV to be a tax stamp, the crowned C also became collectors for a quality mark and date: Used between 1745 and 1749 he appears to have been insculpté that the finest bronzes.
