Old system with cane pocket watch in the head, was blackened wood, sterling silver knob, also shows in solid silver, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This rod is in good condition. The pommel is punched (worn punches and hard to read). The watch is also punched.
A note: the pommel cover no longer hangs, watch a needle is detached, some cabossures on the lid, scratches and wear on the shaft, see photos.
