Antique cane, finely carved silver bronze knob decorated with a fame-faced hair in the wind, signed G.Engrand *, blackened wooden barrel, Art Nouveau period late nineteenth-early twentieth centuries.
This cane is in good condition and is of high quality. The pommel is signed see pictures.
To report: lan part at the end of the cane was added later, perhaps missing a small strapping between the barrel and the pommel, some small stripes and wear of time, see photos.
Sculptor (Ec fr). In 1878 he sent a plaster group to the Salon Arion . He was a third-class medalist in 1898; He was awarded a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in 1889. He has been a member of the French Artists since 1890. (See Bénézit)
