* The daily spectacle of moral and spiritual ruins accumulated by the French Revolution of 1789 made germinate in the heart of a woman, Angélique Le Sourd, the desire to devote his life to remedy them, helping priests to revive the faith and restore morals. Thus 25 April 1816, she decided with three companions to live together in St-Jacut, a small town of Morbihan, to be able to do good around them by pooling their resources and skills. Thus was born the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From the beginning, the sisters devoted themselves in education, care of the sick, the local Church service, and listening to all distress.
