Pendulum bollard in the form of a fluted column on an octagonal base, in red marble, dial with ornamentations in gilt bronze with Roman numerals signed Emile Colin & Cie *, of late nineteenth century.
This pendulum is in good general condition. There is the possibility of presenting a sculpture on the top (hole in the middle).
The movement is signed Japy Frèeres & Cie Medal of Honor, it will have to be revised. We have neither his key nor his pendulum.
Note: small slit on the marble on the side of the dial (red arrow), micro-chips on the edge of the marble, some scratches and wear of time, see photos.
was born in 1882, after Emile COLIN bought the firm E.VIE et Cie. In 1883, COLIN created a new company with the same corporate name, it is the definitive birth of the company Emile COLIN et Cie. The COLIN house essentially includes CARPEAUX publishing models. COLIN works with two collaborators, VESPIERRE and HAAN. COLIN also melts statues as the works of the sculptor CARPENTIER. The COLIN house also founds monumental groups, such as the "DIDEROT" by Jean GAUTHERIN located boulevard Saint Germain in Paris. Emile COLIN retired in 1898 and was replaced by members of his family, from that moment the name became M. Colin et Cie. Emile COLIN died in 1899.
