Pendulum bronze with two patinas (brown and gold) representing the god Apollo holding a torch and crowning the bust of the poet Homer placed on the dial with books; on the other side of the bollard, a column surmounted by an oil lamp, a lyre placed underneath, pedestal decorated with horses, masks and phoenix, of the First Empire period early nineteenth century.
This clock is in good condition and is of remarkable quality. The dial is signed by Horloger Walras in Montpellier. We do not have the key, the bell or the pendulum. The movement is working but will probably have to be revised.
A note: the crown moves in the hand of Apollo, missing two stars on the crown, some wear on the dial some scratches and dirt on the gilding in places, the owl that adorns the lamp can be removed, wear time, see photos.
