Pendulum in finely chiseled gilt bronze representing "the Birth of Love", with a vestal welcoming a small cherub emerging from a flower, at its side a beautiful fire pot or Athenian with ram's heads, enamel dial with Roman numerals with 2 swans holding a flower basket, on the base 2 garlands held by winged torches, from the 1st Empire period at the beginning of the 19th century.
This clock is in very good condition and is of remarkable quality. The wire movement works, we have the pendulum but not the key. It has its curved rear window.
Two similar models are presented in the Encyclopédie de la Pendule Française by P. Kjellberg.
A note: tiny scratches and wear of time on bronze and gilding, see photos.
