Superb small clock (forming inkwell) finely chiseled gilt bronze, decorated with a hive and a basket on which is placed a bee, signed Duprey * Paris, Directoire period late eighteenth century.
This clock is in its own juice, it does not work. The movement is cock, it is signed Duprey in Paris. The hole in the bottom of the hive is original (hole through which the bees leave).
A report: missing a needle, small chips on the enamel dial, certainly missing two bees on the hive, wear time, look at the photos.
* Duprey, Paris, 1789. (referenced in the Dictionary of French Horlogers, Tardy).
