Gilt bronze clock completely and finely carved, decorated with a lyre player foot on a curule stool, his zither placed beside the dial, the latter flanked by wreaths and music instrumenst (trumpets), base decorated floral garlands and instruments, signed by Gaston Jolly hologer * Son in Paris, First Empire period early nineteenth century.

This clock is in good condition. The movement works (perhaps to be revised). We have the key and the balance. A small bronze cleansing may be expected (we can take care on request and specifications).

A note: small chips on the dial (at the key holes), wear on the gilding, wear time, see pictures.

(Died after 1820) is among the most important Parisian watchmakers of the late eighteenth century and early 19th century. After attaining mastery, May 6, 1784, he opened his own workshop Arcis street and immediately encounter a great reputation among Parisian watch lovers. Under the Directory and the Empire he created many sought clocks models both for the quality of movements, and for the originality of the compositions.
