This coconut is in good condition.
A note: missing eyes the grotesque character, the foot was broken and then reattached, some wear and scratches time, see pictures.
just like the ivory nut, it was worked by marine or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects are coconut or corozo finest examples of folk art.
