Faucet bronze, representing the Greek god Triton * sitting on a fish and blowing his conch, of XIXth century.
This valve is in good condition, it is in its own juice.

In Greek mythology, Triton is a sea god son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, messenger of the waves. The upper part of his body to the kidneys is that of a man swimming, the lower that of a fish-tailed. It was the trumpeter of the sea god that always preceded by announcing his arrival with the sound of his conch curved.
