Small Louis XVI half-moon mahogany console, veined white marble top surrounded by a perforated gallery, opening to a belt drawer, resting on four fluted legs joined by a crotch shelf, gilded bronze ornamentation, stamp cabinetmaker F. Schey *, vintage eighteenth century.
This console is in good condition and is of high quality. Stamped on the back.

master on February 5, 1777 - died in 1788. This prolific cabinet-maker settled on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine and opened a sales shop near his studio, which he entrusted to his wife. Its production, abundant, includes furniture Transition and especially Louis XVI of good manufacturing. We know that he provided in 1786 game tables for the castle of Fontainebleau. Schey also executed mahogany furniture, some adorned with brass nets or fine bronze rods, simple and classical works as were made much at the end of the reign of Louis XVI.
