Console Louis XV carved and painted wood, to large shells rock decorated with stylized foliage and foliage, based on two curved legs joined by a decorated with a stylized shell brace, over royal red marble * XVIIIth century .
This console is in good condition.
A note: traces of restorations (screw changed in the back), some old worm holes, slight wear and gaps on wood and polychrome, see photos.
* The Royal red marble comes from Carrère haumont in Blegique. It is characterized by white calcite flames. Widely used in furniture and decoration. (See Identifying marbles Dubarry J. Lassalle).
