Convenient tomb inlaid rosewood and rosewood, elegantly contoured and checkered front and sides, opening with four drawers, gilt bronze ornamentation finely carved, marble top, Regency period early eighteenth century.
This chest is in very good condition and is of exceptional quality. It has been completely revised and revarnished. The bronzes are certainly original, or perhaps slightly later (as with many convenient at the time). The marble is in good condition, it is very heavy (it is not broke: the line of the plate is in the grain, see photo of the back of the marble).
A note: some restorations on wood, normal wear, good looking photos (see red arrows).
