Round box corozo finely carved, decorated with a profile portrait of character on the cover, certainly a king, and rich garlands, working sailor or convict * of XIXth century.
This box is in good condition. It consists of 4 parts see photo.
A report: tiny little wear time (see red arrows)
* Coconut as the tagua was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects coconut corozo are fine examples of folk art.
