Finely carved tagua snuff box, decorated with Neptune or Poseidon on a chariot pulled by two sea horses and led by an angel, the other side of a gallant scene carved medieval, both sides decorated with monsters mouths open marine work or convict * vintage nineteenth century.
This snuff box is in good condition.

* Coconut as the tagua was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects coconut corozo are fine examples of folk art.
