* Superb snuffbox corozo finely carved, decorated with the Nativity scene with baby Jesus in the manger surrounded by Mary, Joseph, a donkey and a dove; across various religious objects (monstrance, Bible, miter, cross ... etc), working sailor or convict, of XIXth century.
This snuff box is in good condition, it is high quality.
A note: some small slits on the cover, slight wear of time on the sets, see photos.

* Coconut like the ivory nut was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects are coconut or corozo finest examples of folk art.
