* Snuffbox corozo finely carved, decorated with two cherubs among foliage on one side of the other cherub musician playing the harp, working sailor or convict, of XIXth century.
This snuffbox is in good condition.
A note: the hinge is a little worn, some small accidents, wear time, see photos.

* Coconut as the corozo was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects coconut or corozo are fine examples of folk art.
