Small round box carved and pierced ivory nut on top, decorated with musical instruments on one side; of the other attributes of the war helmet, banner ... Working sailor or convict, of XIXth century.
This box is in good condition.
A note: slight accident on the edge, slight wear of time, see photos.

* Coconut as the corozo was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects coconut or corozo are fine examples of folk art.
