Case or snuffbox corozo finely carved, decorated with scenes of men playing musical instruments, small flowers and foliage and crowns, working sailor or convict *, of XIXth century.
This snuffbox is in good condition. The top unscrews.
A note: something moving inside, visible cracks (see red arrows), small accident (hole) and lack see red arrow, wear time, well look at photos.

* Coconut as the corozo was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects coconut or corozo are fine examples of folk art.
