* André Delatte (1887-1953)

is an industrialist, master glassmaker, founder in 1921 of Verreries de l'Est SA whose workshops manufactured artistic glassware of the main brand ADelatte Nancy, in the Art Nouveau or Art Deco styles. The glass techniques that made Delatte's productions famous are above all: the so-called berluzes vases, which are vases in marmoreal glass, blown, with a long stretched and sometimes hemmed neck, naturalist glassware engraved in acid cameo, d Art Nouveau inspiration (in the industrial Gallé style), yet at odds with the tastes of the time, the Art Deco style glassware, in plain or marmoreal glass, with a hot-enamelled surface of friezes with stylized decorations. The production consists mainly of the manufacture of vases and lamps. Today recognized among the significant Art Nouveau glassmakers, despite the anachronism of his production, his works are exhibited at the Musée de l'École de Nancy.
