Very nice clipboard or crystal faceted sulphide St. Louis *, decorated with a porcelain-cristallo ** representing a cherub or Love, and small blue flowers (thoughts), signed SL for St. Louis and dated 1979 vintage twentieth century.
This clipboard is in good condition. It is signed and dated below.

* The Royal Glassware of St. Louis, located in the French town of Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche in Moselle is the oldest glassworks in France (1586). In 1829, the glassworks became the Company of Saint Louis Crystal. The glassworks still active today, was bought in 1989 by the famous luxury house Hermes. St. Louis is after Baccarat, the largest French crystal manufacturer.
** The cristallo-céramie is a technique of glass decoration which was created in the late 19th century. It is to include in a crystal object ceramic cameo that was previously molded and finely chiseled by hand. (Cf ProAntic)
