* René Jules Lalique (1860-1945)

is a master French glassmaker and jeweler, founder of Maison Lalique. He made himself famous for his astonishing jewelery creations, then for bottles of perfume, vases, candlesticks, clocks and, at the end of his life, cabochons of cars. The company he founded still works and still creates many quality parts making his fame around the world. Lalique's name has remained attached to creativity and quality, as he has always been able to draw sumptuous but still discreet objects.
