Solid silver stew spoon, chiseled with an alliance coat of arms on the handle with the coat of arms of the Goyon de l'Abbaye et des Hurlières* family (gules with a golden lion) and that of the Loynes family, unidentified goldsmith's mark, from the 18th century.

This spoon is in good condition, it does not have any Fermiers Généraux hallmarks and therefore seems to have escaped the tax on precious metals of the time.

This spoon comes from the Breton family of La Guerrande , with the title of Count of Hurlières (castle located in Châtillon in Vendelais - Ille et Vilaine), related to the Goyon de l'Abbaye and Hurlières family. It was made for the marriage of Joseph-Martin de Goyon de l'Abbaye (1700-1751), Lord of Hurlières with Marie-Thérèse de Loynes (1712-1782) in 1729.

Please note: minor impacts, micro-scratches and slight wear and tear, see photos.
