* Molten glass: glass treatment known since ancient times (Pliny), rediscovered by H.Cros 1880, which sought fusible material workable in paste or liquid state. This is a colored crystal, previously pulverized and mixed with water, added with a binder to compose a paste; thereof after cooking becomes hard and translucent to then be shaped and colored like a sculpture. Glass paste is true otient by amalgamating cold glasses and enamels crushed. The paste is then molded and subjected to baking in a lost wax mold; under the effect of heat agglomerate the components. ** André Delatte (1887-1953)

is an industrial, glass master, founder in 1921 of the Glass East SA whose workshops were making artistic glassworks main brand ADelatte Nancy, in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. The glass techniques that made famous the signed Delatte productions are mainly: the so-called berluzes vases, which are glass vases marmoréen blown, long neck stretched and sometimes hemmed, naturalists cameo glass etched with acid, d Inspiration Art Nouveau (in the style of industrial Gallé), yet at the wrong tastes of the time, Art Deco glassware, glass plain or marmoréen in hot enamel surface friezes stylized decorations. The production consists mainly of the manufacture of vases and lamps. Now recognized among the significant Art Nouveau glass, despite the anachronism of its production, his works are exhibited at the Museum of the School of Nancy.
