Pair of small vases shaped ball * glass paste signed Gallé **, decorated cleared acid abutilons of orange flowers, vintage Art Nouveau late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

These vases are in good condition. They are signed to the side in a flower.

A note: some small scratches (see last photo), light soiling in and wear of time, see photos.

* Molten glass: glass treatment known since ancient times (Pliny), rediscovered by H.Cros 1880, which sought fusible material workable in paste or liquid state. This is a colored crystal, previously pulverized and mixed with water, added with a binder to compose a paste; thereof after cooking becomes hard and translucent to then be modeled as a sculpture and colored. glass paste is true otient by amalgamating cold glasses and enamels crushed. * Emile Gallé (1846-1904) is an industrial, master glassmaker, cabinetmaker and French ceramist. He is founder and first president of the School of Nancy in 1901. Child Art and commerce, it is one of the most influential figures of the applied arts in his time and one of the pioneers of Art new.
