Oil lamp called Athenian * Empire style bronze two patinas (brown and gold) decorated with heads of faunas and satyrs and foliage friezes, tripod base claw paws, XIXth century.

This lamp is in good condition. The system works (we do not have glassware). Numbered and PC initials below.

A note: some small accidents and scratches on the cassolette, dirt and wear on gilding in places, wear time, see photos.

* The term "Athenian" to describe this type of object is invented in 1773 by Jean-Henri Eberts (1726-1803). The description is published in the Avant-Coureur: a tripod consisting of three console posts supporting a cassolette.
